Ninja Rua Resigns After His Defeat in BAMMA 6

Last Saturday, Tom ‘Kong’ Watson successfully defended his title against Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua via TKO in Bamma 6 at Wembley Arena. ‘Ninja’ Rua, the older brother of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, was knocked down in third round of the bout through Watson’s terrific style of kicks. After that, the former EliteXC middleweight champion announced his retirement on Twitter.
“It was an amazing run and its a very tough moment, but there comes a time for all in life, and it’s time to move on.”
Murilo Rua further wrote that he is proud of all he did in MMA. He will continue to work with MMA by doing seminars, teaching classes, training the fighters, and many more. He concluded his announcement by the words: “It’s time now to help others and enjoy my family, my wife, my kids, and move (on).”
The 31-year-old Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert, Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua, started his career in Chute Boxe Academy and eventually joined PRIDE, DREAM, EliteXC, Cage Rage.
