UFC 126 Medical Suspensions

The winning and losing on UFC 126 event comes with injured fighters. The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the official list of fighters who will have to recuperate for a while.

Behind the crunching knockouts and undisputed victories, fighters cannot deny the fact that obtained injuries that have to be attended immediately. Win or lose, injured fighters are priorities of thus the implementation of medical suspensions.

Topping off the suspended fighters is who is suspended due to a face kick from . Also, fighters Forrest Griffin and Jake Ellenberger will need a doctor’s clearance before entering any fight.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions for fighters namely:

  • Vitor Belfort suspended until March 23, with no contact until March 8.
  • Forrest Griffin must have right foot x-rayed and if positive, must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contact until August 5, 2011.
  • Carlos Eduardo Rocha suspended until March 23, no contact until March 8 due to scalp laceration.
  • Jake Ellenberger must have both hands x-rayed and if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contact until August 5, 2011.
  • Paul Kelly suspended until March 23, with no contact until March 8 due to right eyebrow laceration.
  • Michihiro Omigawa suspended until April 7 with no contact until April 7 due to right eyebrow laceration and head blows.
  • Chad Mendes suspended until March 23 with no contact until March 8.
  • suspended until April 7 with no contact until April 7 due to right eyebrow laceration and TKO.
  • Ricardo Romero suspended until March 23 with no contact until March 8.
  • Kenny Robertson suspended until March 23 with no contact until March 8.
