Velasquez’s Surgery, a Success

UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez said Monday that his surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff was successful, and he's already working out in preparation for a return to the Octagon.
Last Monday, UFC Heavyweight champion – Cain Velasquez – tweeted that his surgery went well, and that he’s working out his legs at Joe Grasso’s gym. But even though he gave out the good news, there are still questions on how soon will he be ready to return inside the Octagon. More over, will the ring rust be a factor when Cain Velasquez comes back to face the winner of the Brock Lesnar vs Junior Dos Santos fight?
With the mentioned match-up likely to happen in October, Cain Velasquez will have a full year off between fights. Some people say that fighters who got a long repose, feel less than 100 percent ready for their return — even if they are fully recovered. Regardless, Cain Velasquez’s tweet must be considered good news. It only means that the heavyweight king is on his way back.
