UFC 129: Couture vs Machida Goes Official
Before he leaves the octagon, Randy Couture gives it another shot. He will battle Lyoto Machida in UFC 129 and as Dana White referred to it, the deal is close.
The matchup between UFC’s Hall of Famer Randy Couture (19-10 MMA, 16-7 UFC) and former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida (16-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) will finally and officially take place at UFC 129.
While there is no official line-up on UFC 129, the event is slated for April 30 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. However, the matchup between Machida and Couture are called “done deal” by the UFC boss himself.
Lats October Couture gave out a statement that he’s quitting the game to focus on Hollywood. However another shot won’t do any harm after all. “The Natural” enjoys a three-fight win streak which includes heavyweight victory over James Toney at UFC 118 as well as two wins over Mark Coleman and Brandon Vera.
On the other hand, Machida has 16-straight wins, however lately he had lost back-to-back fights. “The Dragon” gave his UFC heavyweight title to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua last May and dropped to a decision loss over Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in November.View Article Source »
