George St-Pierre is one of the best fighters UFC ever had. Aside from Anderson Silva, he is also considered as the sport’s great pound-for-pound fighter. That is why, it is no mystery that GSP is being idolized by many aspiring MMA fighters. That being said, Fighting Insider is bringing you five MMA fight moves demonstrated by George St-Pierre.
George St-Pierre was born on May 19, 1981 in Saint-Isidore, Quebec, Canada. He started playing for Karate and Hockey at a very young age. But since his parents were not wealthy, GSP chose to continue playing for Karate over Hockey. At the age of 16, he is already a second-degree black belter in Karate and started training for Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He was that young when he started fighting as an amateur mixed martial arts fighter, and took home his initial victory. GSP’s professional career started on January 25, 2002, defeating Ivan Menjivar at UCC by technical knockout. After three consecutive fights and another TKO, he moved on to the UFC.
George St-Pierre is the current UFC Welterweight Champion, anchoring an impressive record of 20-2. He secured eight of his victories by Technical Knockout.
