Jon Fitch Volunteers to Coach on The Ultimate Fighter
“Just the week that I got to spend with the guys, it’s hard to give your knowledge and give effort and time to some guys and then have to walk away.” ----Jon Fitch
It was in the 12th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” when Jon Fitch was brought in to help out his colleague, Josh Koscheck, to train newcomers. The said experience inspired him to ask UFC president Dana White to allow him to coach for a future season.
“It would be cool, I’d really like to do it. I actually talked to Dana about it, and told him that I was interested if ever the opportunity came around,” Fitch said.
Recently, Fitch went to Las Vegas to help other trainers to prepare. However, he left after some time for his own training.
“Just the week that I got to spend with the guys, it’s hard to give your knowledge and give effort and time to some guys and then have to walk away. So I really wanted to keep going back, but I had to get ready for Thiago Alves, so I had to get back to AKA and train.”
By this time, he is getting ready for his fight on Feb. 5 against Jake Ellenberger at UFC 126.View Article Source »
