Chris Leben, Arrested the Second Time Around
Chris "The Crippler" Leben is arrested after crushing his truck in a freeway. Again. And it seems like he has a big drinking problem. Seriously, when will Leben ever learn?
Chris “The Crippler” Leben is once again arrested after wrecking his truck on a Hawaii freeway earlier this week, in addition to a DUI suspicion. According to a story straight from a local television studio:
“Officers arrested Christian Leben, 30, a middleweight fighter known as the Crippler, on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant Tuesday. He was released from custody after posting $1,000 bail. Police say Leben was driving on the west-bound side of the H1 Freeway just before 2 AM, when he lost control of his pickup and crashed into a wall near the Kapiolani Boulevard off ramp. He was allegedly driving without a license and without insurance.”
If you can recall, Leben’s fight with Michael Bisping at UFC 85 was postponed four months after the Oregon police found out that he did not comply with his probationary requirements. The Crippler’s probation was due to a DUI arrest in 2005. He was sentenced with a 35 days arrest in the Clackamas County after that. Furthermore, Leben was tested positive for steroids after his UFC 89 fight with Bisping. And though he sound truthfully remorseful with all his fault, he moved to Hawaii for a fresh start.
However, Leben’s “fresh start” wasn’t that affective as he have the most well-documented drinking problem. The UFC has no statement for the news as of the moment. But let’s just hope that this latest brush with the law will not upset Chris Leben’s match with Brian Stann at the upcoming UFC 125.View Article Source »
