Fighting Insider at UFC Fan Expo London October 2010
In line with the much anticipated UFC 120 fight in London, UFC has also hit the Earl's Court Arena at the UFC Fan Expo. Check out to see what happened in the event.
Last October 15 and 16, The Ultimate Fighting Championship hits London during a Fan Expo at Earl’s Court Arena in London. And Fighting Insider was able to capture the sights and sound of the two-day event.
The first day of the event started with a fighting demonstration from WBC World Champion, Wayne “The Pocket Rocket” McCullough. Then a Q & A portion with Bruce Buffer followed. By around lunch time, autograph session started at the UFC stand. Fans were able to meet and greet some of the promotion’s great fighters like: Junior Dos Santos, Randy Couture, Rich Franklin, Ryan Bader, Thiago Alves, Jon Jones, Marcus Davis, Frankie Edgar, Ross Pearson, Kendall Grove, and Kurt Pellegrino
It was 2:00 in the afternoon when UFC President, Dana White, took the stage and generously answered all the questions from the fans. But it did not take long until the people of London watched the weigh-in results of the most awaited fight of the month: The UFC 120. The first day ended with a fighting demonstration from Thiago Alves and Marcus Davis.
Randy Couture’s Training and Development program was sold out, first thing in day two. The Natural gave an exciting session on the use of Greco & Catch Wrestling as applied to Mixed Martial Arts. The session was followed by a powerful Q & A plus meet and greet. Then another demonstration from The Pocket Rocket came in followed by an autograph session.
It was around lunch time when Dan Miragliotta took the stage to share to the fans the MMA rules and his own experiences as a referee. After the MMA rules came Kendall Grove for another fighting demonstration, followed by a question and answer with UFC’s CEO, Lorenzo Ferttita. After that, Wanderlei Silva discussed the hurdles that he was able to overcome for the past decade, and the techniques he used to bring himself success. The event ended with a fighting demonstration with Cole Miller and an autograph session with the UFC fighters and Octagon Girls.
