Miller Brothers All Set for UFC 124
The Miller brothers are up officially for UFC 124's Return to Montreal. We know this rarely happens and it would be great if the brothers will have twin victories as well.
Jim and Dan Miller are both set for UFC 124’s return to Montreal. Jim Miller (18-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) meets co-lightweight Charles Oliveira (14-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC), while Dan Miller (12-4 MMA, 4-3 UFC) takes co-middleweight Joe Doerksen (46-13 MMA, 2-6 UFC) at the Dec. 11 event. The event will take place at Bell Centre in Montreal that features a welterweight title fight between champion Georges St-Pierre and top contender Josh Koscheck.
Jim Miller recently earned a victory by tapping down Gleison Tibau at UFC Fight Night 22 this past month. But before that win, he eventually defeated Mac Danzig, Steve Lopez, Duane Ludwig and Mark Bocek. His few unfortunate losses came from Frankie Edgar (at a 2006 Reality Fighting show), now lightweight title holder. And Gray Maynard who vies the title on January at UFC 125.
On the other hand, Oliveira achieved an exceptioonal win during his submission victory at TUF 8 over Efrain Escudero at the UFC Fight Night 22. This was infact the first time he lasted long on the octagon. His 8 out of his 14 wins were done on the first round including his submission win over Darren Elkins at UFC on Versus 1.
Dan Miller, recently had his rebound from a 3-fight lost skid with his submission win over John Salter at UFC 118 in August. Prior to this victory he lost unanimous decisions over to Demian Maia, Chael Sonnen and Michael Bisping, which followed a three-fight win streak over the likes of Rob Kimmons, Matt Horwich and Jake Rosholt to open his UFC career.
While Doerksen is fighting for his future on the octagon. He replaced Tim Credeur and met Tom Lawlor during UFC 113. He endured the fight and had a second-round submission victory. It was his second win after two unsuccessful stints at UFC. But at UFC 119, he fell in the hands of C.B Dollaway with a quick guillotine choke.View Article Source »
