“The Ultimate Fighter 12″ Scores 1.7 million Viewers

TUF scored more than one million viewers on just its second episode.

The second episode of “The Ultimate Fighter 12: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck” became a hit, scoring 1.2 household rating and 1.7 million viewers.

Typical with most of the aired of TUF, the final quarter-hour of the episode earns the highest figure with a 1.39 rating.

which regularly airs during Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, features welterweight champ and Josh Koscheck as coaches overseeing 28 lightweight fighters. Episode no. 2 features the colorful Alex “Bruce Leroy” Caceres of Team GSP defeat Jeff Lentz of Team Koscheck in a come-from-behind submission win.

The ratings figures for episode No. 2 include an impressive and high 1.84 household rating among males ages 18-34, with a 1.70 rating in the males 18-49 category.

The full season ratings include:

* “The Ultimate Fighter 12″ episode No. 1: 1.6 million viewers
* “The Ultimate Fighter 12″ episode No. 2: 1.7 million viewers

Spike TV, which aired “TUF” since its premiere in 2005, is available in about 98.6 million homes.

Spike TV officials also said that the debut episode of “Countdown to 119: Mir vs. Cro Cop,” that abruptly followed the second episode of “The Ultimate Fighter 12″ netted 862,000 viewers.
