Faber vs Mizugaki Bout Headlines WEC 52
Taking what seems to be the best and worst moment of their MMA career last April, Takeya Mizugaki and Urijah Faber will lock horns against each other as they headline the upcoming WEC 52.
Former WEC featherweight champ Urijah Faber will make his much awaited advance to 135 pounds, as he faces Takeya Mizugaki on the upcoming WEC 52 on November 11, at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Urijah “The California Kid” Faber has not competed since his unanimous decision loss against Jose Aldo at WEC 48 last April. But be that as it may, Faber got victories over Dominick Cruz, Bibiano Fernandez, and Jens Pulver in addition to his 19 out of 23 career wins via knockout, TKO or submission. Takeya Mizugaki, on the other hand, secured seven wins out of his past nine fights. His sole defeat came from Miguel Torres and Scott Jorgensen. He last fought in April, outperforming Rani Yahya via unanimous decision at WEC 48.
Meanwhile, two more fights are made official for the event, which will air live on Versus network. Former WEC Bantamweight king Brian Bowles will make his comeback, squaring off Wagnney Fabiano at 135 pounds. Another is a pivotal showdown at 145 pounds between Josh Grispi and Erik Koch.
