Keith Jardine, Now on a Five-fight Losing Streak
The Dean of Mean is distressed with another loss from Shark Fights 13. His fifth losing streak came from Trevor Prangley after getting a favorable score from two of the three judges. Can Jardine get his feet back on the trail?
Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine is a former Ultimate Fighter contestant who rose through the ranks, fighting in pay-per-view main events in UFC. But now, he’s fighting in the main card of a less prestigious pay-per-view fight last Saturday night. On Shark Fights 13, he was unable to get past Trevor Prangley via split decision. Prangley injured Jardine with a big knee to the head and a cut over his left eye. When Prangley looked like he was close to ending the fight via TKO, Jardine recovered well enough to attempt an arm bar and knee bar. Slowing down on the second round, Prangley landed a hard punch that knocked Jardine down. However, Jardine was able to hit a couple of leg kicks but did not take advantage of the awkward style. It was late in the third round that he felt a sense of urgency, attacking and giving combinations that had hurt Prangley. But it was too late and Prangley won 29-28 on the judges’ scorecards. Prangley improved his record to 23-6-1, while Jardine got another disappointing loss.View Article Source »
