UFC 122’s Official Headliners: Vitor Belfort vs. Yushin Okami

At long last, UFC is back in Germany tagging along Vitor Belfort and Yushin Okami.

Finally ’s return to Germany with is official. The event will take place on Nov. 13 at Konig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany and will air on Spike TV on a taped episode.

(19-8 , 8-4 UFC) and (25-5 MMA, 9-2 UFC) are the headliners during this week’s “Ultimate Insider” episode on UFC.com.

The fight between Okami vs. Belfort is likely to take effect the or challenger brawl, who are rumored to have a rematch by early 2011, possibly at Jan. 1 UFC 125 event.

Okami, which has long flirted with the assertion of title, recently won a split decision victory over Mark Munoz on Versus 2. It’s the fifth victory in his six fights, together with victories over Lucio Linhares, Dean Lister, Jason MacDonald and Evan Tanner. The only loss came Sonnen.

Belfort looks to reclaim the title shot. But when Belfort succumb to shoulder injury, and the Sonnen got shots on Silva’s belt. Belfort now is under the five-fight win streak and four wins came from Cage Rage and Affliction Entertainment. Last year at UFC 103, he returned to the UFC after four years and had his first knock-out over Rich Franklin.

Germany hosted its first show, the UFC 99 with Franklin vs. headliner in June 2009. Despite the resistance from German media that resulted to a Ban to minors from the show, IFC President vowed that they will return and continue with their European invasion.
