One More Fight for UFC 123: Lauzon vs. Sotiropoulos
Two of The Ultimate Fighting Championships' top lightweight performers are set to topple each other with only one to be hailed triumphant in the end.
Just outside Detroit, at the Palace Auburn Hills, Joe Lauzon and George Sotiropoulos (pictured) will again prove their mettle in the lightweight division as they face each other at the UFC 123: Jackson vs Machida on November 20. Whoever wins emerges as the best man, but the bout will undeniably lead to title contendership possibilities.
Veteran Lauzon previously flexed his MMA muscles in last month’s UFC 118 in Boston, where he defeated his fellow “Ultimate Fighter 5″ competitor Gabe Reudiger. His Octagon record runs 6-2, starting with his debut at the UFC 63 knocking out former lightweight champion Jens Pulver four years ago.
The older Sotiropoulos is flawless in his Octagon performances at 6-0. He won over decision nods in his recent fights with April 2007 Joe Stevenson and Kurt Pellegrino. He is a veteran of “The Ultimate Fighter 6″ with a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt.View Article Source »
