Nick Pace: WEC Bound this September
WEC welcomes the undefeated bantamweight from New York, Nick Pace.
As Clint Godfrey exits from September 30’s WEC 51, Pace makes an entrance to face Demetrious Johnson at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The action event was announced by WEC officials via Twitter yesterday, but not the cause for Godfrey’s replacement.
The Bellator pro Pace from the east coast recently submitted Steve Deangelis with a brabo choke at the Ring of Combat, an East Coast MMA promotion. He is pitted against Johnson who made a promotional debut at WEC 48 last April where he incurred his first career loss. This will be the latter’s second shot at success.
This face-off between Pace and Johnson will be part of the unaired fights of the WEC 51.View Article Source »
