Tim Boetsch vs Phil Davis on UFC 123
After both fighters agreed to fight, the official statement is only the thing left unsaid.
Tim Boetsch (12-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and Phil Davis (7-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) are bound for UFC 123. Though we still don’t have an official statement, sources say that these fighters agreed to fight and papers are being processed now.
UFC 123 is expected to be on Nov. 20 at the The Palace of Auburn Hills in suburban Detroit. This will be a match up with former champs Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Lyoto Machida headlines the pay-per-view event.
Davis is less than one month removed from a fight on short notice at UFC 117 when he intervened to wounded arriving Stanislav Nedkov and beat Rodney Wallace points. It was the third win of the collegiate wrestler after victories over Alexander Gustafsson and Brian Stann at UFC 112 and UFC 109.
Boetsch has recently returned to the octagon on UFC 117 following his three-fight win on the regionals and tapped down newcomer Todd Brown via unanimous decision.
It was his win over Heath that hypen up the viewers when he tossed Heath on the mat and beating him during UFC 81.View Article Source »
