Linderman, Tesanovic & a Bellator Deal
Sportfight title-holder D.J. Linderman got onboard Bellator Fighting Championships, entering and expanding the latter's heavyweight fighters pool, and with an intensity that can make the water rise.
“Linderman is a great addition to our heavyweight talent-pool. He is a powerful heavyweight that has a tremendous amount of potential. We’re happy to have him onboard and look forward to seeing what he does in our steadily growing heavyweight division.”
A part of Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney’s statement in a release said. Linderman racked up three consecutive wins since a unanimous-decision defeat to IFL pro Devin Cole. His last victory record was inked last month, when he faced Daniel Stewart at Sportfight 28. His record also included last year triumph’s over American Team rep and EliteXC pro Mario Rinaldi.
Although Bellator’s Season 3 roster has been finalized, Linderman gets the chance to step in should any issues among the competitors arise.
Aside from the heavyweight champ, Bellator also signed Serb Dragan Tesanovic into its middlweight listers. This is what Rebney said of the 24-year-old skillful fighter:
“Tesanovic has tremendous potential to become a dominant middleweight. His diverse training regime and quickly progressing skill set the table for him to make substantial impact in our 185-pound division.”View Article Source »
