Gassaway Gains Victory at Bellator 25
“It’s been something I’ve wanted to do, but I’ve just been plagued with injuries. That comes along with fighting for a long time. I’m 38 now, so injuries don’t go away like they did when I was younger, but my mindset is still there, so I really felt great, like I was back home in the cage.”
Former UFC fighter, Brian Gassaway is now back on the cage and is taking the winning track. After being racked up from 100 fights of different disciplines, from Shidokan to MMA, Gassaway don’t usually take long hiatus. And while he’s happy with his comeback victory, he feels that his match against Kevin Knabjian at Bellator 25 could have been better. According to him, he never fights for the fame. He just want to test himself and push his limits. Nevertheless, the injuries he acquired from the fight — now that he’s 38 — cannot recuperate as fast as it’s supposed to be when he was younger. But even if he can’t be at the top of the rankings, fighting is something that he feels within his soul.
