Booker T to Lashley: Get Back There and Show Them What You’ve Got
WWE pro Booker T pondered the loss of his past contemporary, Bobby Lashley, in an interview during Strikeforce: Houston Saturday. Here is a friend's analysis and advice, what he did think Lashley still has to do come his friend's next fight.
Bobby Lashley suffered a very disappointing loss from Chad Griggs. While the fights wore out, professional wrestling’s Booker T conveyed his thoughts from his own point-of-view regarding Lashley’s performance, whether MMA is posing a threat to pro wrestling and whether his mind had conceived fighting.
When Lashley came on to the cage, Booker T noted that the fighter was nervous, and he wanted that negative energy out fast. Lashley released it too soon. Besides, Bobby “let the crowd get to him today.” But the pro fighter has so much respect for the guys who get into the cage, especially for the man he went into the ring together in their WWE heydays. Booker T said, Lashley is “a warrior…they fight tie-to-toe, one-on-one, mano-a-mano…[you’ve got to] give these guys respect.”
But truly he thought Lashley got cut, which affected the fighter mentally, yet he managed to see the “controversial” Strikeforce: Houston fight games in a positive light. The self-admitted fight buff was also hopeful for Lashley; his advice to him: “Get back on track… Get back out there. Show what you are really made of.”
The pro wrestling man is never done with wrestling though, he said. And he was just into MMA now, as he had been in other fight games such as boxing. That MMA is not hurting pro-wrestling was one of his last thoughts in the interview. Clear, precise and hopeful thoughts, and Lashley could glean important stuff should he take his fellow’s word for it.
