Thiago Tavares is replacing Aaron Riley for he was kicked out of UFC 119 for an unknown reason.
There has been a little adjustment on the UFC 119 card. Aaron Riley is knocked out from UFC 119 and Thiago Tavares (14-3-1 MMA, 4-3-1 UFC) has been the replacement against Pat Audinwood (9-0-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC). As of the moment there is no confirmation on the real reason of the sudden removal of Riley from the fight.
The UFC 119 will take place on September 25 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and the night’s main card airs on pay-per-view. The main event will feature former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir and 2006 PRIDE champion Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic.
Audinwood had been a professional fighter since 2007. The undefeated lightweight has competed for 170 during his career. Even though on his most recent performance, versus lightweight Rober Conner is via unanimous decision. The fight was last April at the “M-1 Selection: Americas” edition. Audinwood who was once a training partner for former UFC fighter Tamdan McCory, is aksi John Franchi’s cousin.
Meanwhile, Tavares who fought only once in the past year, most recent fight was at UFC Fight Night 20. The decision was draw to Nick Lentz which moved his record to 4-3-1.
Tavers was expected to face Melvin Guillard during May’s UFC 114 in Vegas, but a hyper extended elbow courtesy of his training made disqualified him.
