Petz vs Foster on UFC Fight Night 22
Brian Foster and Forrest Petz are officially in for UFC Fight Night 22.
It will feature a middleweight bout between top fighters Nate Marquardt and Rousimar Palhares. The UFC Fight Night 22 will take place on September 15 at the Frank Erwin Center, Austin Texas and will be aired live on Spike TV. This will be the debut episode of the Ultimate Fighter 12.
It is a return action for Foster since he broke his leg during a basketball game last April. This H.I.T. Squad trained fighter said that he would be out of the fight for a maximum of 8 weeks and hopes to come back in August.
Foster is in need of a winning match in the octagon. The most recent appearance of this fighter was in UFC 110 with Chris Lytle as a replacement to Dong Hyun Kim who was injured at the moment and was submitted inside two minutes by a kneebar.
It is a disappointment for the fighter after he had his first victory with a 2 round TKO for the former WEC welterweinght contender Brock Larson on UFC 106. The win made him in Good Footing after Rick Story submitted him in the promo debut of UFC 103.
Meanwhile, Petz, who trains with the Strong Style Fight Team in Independence, Ohio, was re-signed to the promo and faced Daniel Roberts at UFC 116 when the original opponent of the latter succumb to injury. He lost the fight via split decision.
Petz was on UFC between 2006-2007, and went 2-3 inside the cage. He had wins over Sammy Morgan and Luigi Fioravanti and was lost to Marcus Davis, Kuniyoshi Hironaka and Josh Burkman.
Before his first UFC run, he defeated Dan Hardy by a decision at a regional fight show.View Article Source »
