Jones Knocks Out Matyushenko at UFC on Versus 2
Jones took down Matt Hamill in December with wild elbows on the ground. He did the same to Brandon Vera last March, and that's what Jones did to Vladimir Matyushenko last Sunday. Jones really found a winning formula and he's sticking with it.
It was a short Sunday night for Jon Jones, after crippling Vladimir Matyushenko with vicious elbow hit at UFC on Versus 2. Jones dismantled Matyunshenko just 1:52 after the opening period. The former swiftly moved into dominant position, tying up the latter’s arms into crucifix. It was referee Herb Dean that ended the barrage, after Jones hammered the defenseless Matyushenko with no less than 10 elbows. This move is indeed an excellent fighting strategy for Jon Jones.

“My goal is to become one of the best in the world, if not the best in my weight class,” Jones said. “Whoever the UFC decides to give me, I’ll be ready for it. I’ll train my butt off, and I just hope that Joe Silva and Dana [White] really kick it up with me and give me some really, really tough guys.”
